Pretty Party People Terms and Conditions
Terms of Service.
Definitions
Pretty Party People is the owner and supplier of the Equipment and shall be referred to as either the “Owner”, “We”, “PPP” or “Pretty Party People”.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions the hirer or buyer of the Equipment shall be referred to as the “Client”.
“Equipment”, “Item/s”, “Products”, “Set-up” or “Installation/s” means all items that are hired by the Client and delivered by Pretty Party People to the Client, whether the items have been paid for or not. The Equipment shall always remain the property of Pretty Party People whilst on hire.
“Terms” means these Terms and Conditions of Hire
Conditions of Hire
a) Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Pretty Party Party and Client, these Terms and Conditions will be the only Terms and Conditions on which PPP shall provide any goods and or services to the Client.
b) These Terms are deemed to be accepted by the Client upon the return of the signed Booking Contract, payment of a booking deposit, and when the said payment is received by PPP.
c) The hiring of equipment will commence from the service date specified on the Client invoice, and continue for the time specified. The Client is entitled to use the equipment for the allocated hire period. Any extension of the period must be agreed to by Pretty Party People in writing.
d) The Client shall not remove the Hire Equipment or any part thereof from the situation and position of its installation without consent from Pretty Party People. The Client must inform PPP of the exact location/whereabouts the Client would like the Installation/Equipment situated at the confirmed event location prior to the service date. If the Client fails to do so, PPP will use their professional discretion to choose a suitable location for the Installation/Equipment. In this case, the Client agrees to leave the Installation/Equipment in place. Pretty Party People are not liable of any damages to Equipment if the Client fails to meet this Condition of Hire. Therefore, the Client will be liable to a Maintenance/Damages Fee in this case. PPP will contact the Client in the instance unnecessary maintenance/damages have occurred to finalise any outstanding fees/payments.
f) The Client agrees not to use the Equipment at locations or purposes different to the Equipment’s general designated purpose and specified suitability. (i.e.indoor use vs outdoor use)
g) The Client acknowledges responsibility for the equipment.
h) Pretty Party People reserves the right to amend or revise its rates or prices without notice.
Hire Charges & Delivery
a) All prices include GST.
b) Delivery fees are calculated in relation to the distance Pretty Party People travel to and from the Client’s event location. A delivery fee will be calculated during the consultation process and the Client will be notified of their delivery fee based off the information given to PPP.
c) Pretty Party People are available for delivery on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only. A Client may request a weekday delivery date. Availability to fulfil delivery in this instance is at the discretion of PPP. In this case, the Client will be notified of availability via email or message correspondence.
d) The Client must inform Pretty Party People of any measurements/specifications of the proposed event space (i.e ceiling height, door, stair access) before the service date. It is the Client’s responsibility to also inform PPP directions to an event location if the event location is not easily accessible via Google Maps. Failure to do so may delay delivery time by PPP on the day.
e) The amount quoted is for use of Equipment for the 24 hire period. Unless otherwise specified, any delivery quotation assumes delivery, and pickup of goods being provided during ordinary business hours of 9am to 6pm.
f) If the Client requires any onsite services from Pretty Party People outside of ordinary business hours (before 9am and after 6pm), a $50 out-of-hours service fee will be applied to the Client’s invoice. The Client agrees to settle this fee within 7 business days.
g) At the end of the 24 hour hire period, Pretty Party People may allow the Client to hold the Equipment for a longer period than was previously agreed. This is at the discretion of PPP only and needs to be agreed to in writing via email or message. If requesting extended hire, the Client agrees to pay a daily 10% charge of the total invoice amount until all items are returned to PPP. PPP will contact the Client in this instance to finalise any outstanding fees/payments. The Client agrees to settle this fee within 7 business days.
h) If Pretty Party People are booked by a Client on a Public Holiday, a 10% Public Holiday surcharge will be applied automatically to the Client’s total invoice amount.
Deposit & Payments
a) Invoices are to be paid in the form of bank transfer only.
b) All bookings with Pretty Party People are not locked in until a non-refundable 20% deposit or full payment has been paid by the Client and confirmed by PPP. PPP has the right to cancel any bookings if deposits or full amounts have not been paid at due time, and will allow another Client to book the date and hire the items.
c) Quotes are valid for 14 days only unless other arrangements have been made in writing via email or message between Pretty Party People and the Client.
d) The Client has 7 days within invoice issue date to secure booking with the 20% deposit.
e) Final invoice amount is due 14 days prior to the event/service date. If the event/service date is less than 14 days prior to placing the booking, then the Client agrees to pay the full invoiced amount at the time of booking.
f) If the Client pays the 20% non-refundable deposit, but fails to pay the remaining 80% of the invoice total by the due date, the Client acknowledges Pretty Party People will keep the deposit amount and will not show up on the date of the event unless the Client makes contact with PPP beforehand.
g) The Client must get in contact with Pretty Party People if an unforeseen circumstance prevents the Client from finalising the remaining payment by the due date. In this case, this is at the discretion of PPP, and the Client will agree to make a payment by a new date. If payment needs to be made after an Installation is delivered, additional fees will apply.
Cancellation and Variations
In the case of cancellation within 14 days from date of event agreed by both the Client and Pretty Party People, the 20% deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for credit.
Any cancellation made before the 14 day period before the event date that has been paid in full may be refunded 80% of the total invoice cost.
Pretty Party People agrees and acknowledges that the Client will only be entitled to receive a 80% refund of the full payment (if full payment has been taken) if the cancellation occurs at least 14 days prior to the delivery date.
Any item removal or deductions from invoice must be made at least 14 days prior to hire date. Variations made within the 14 day period will incur the hire charge. Additions can be made at anytime and are subject to availability.
All cancellations and date changes are to be requested in writing for the consideration of Pretty Party People. Approval for date changes will be subject to PPP’s discretion.
Covid Cancellations & Natural Disasters
Pretty Party people will not be issuing refunds due to events being cancelled by COVID restrictions. COVID is no longer an unknown or unforeseen event.
In the event the Client needs to cancel due to government restrictions due to Covid or a Natural Disaster, Pretty Party People will reschedule the Client’s booking, or the Client will receive credit valid for up to 12 months.

Damage of Equipment
The Client is responsible for any loss or damage to the Equipment for any reason whatsoever, except loss or damage which is caused by reasonable wear and tear.
If considerable damage or loss occurs while in the Client’s care, full replacement costs will be charged to the Client. If damage or loss is inflicted, Pretty Party People reserves the right to invoice and collect from the Client the remaining balance required to replace damaged or lost items.
